PEOPLE’S STORM

“Some people create their own storms, and then get mad when it rains.”

Have you ever known someone who always seems to have the worst stuff happening to them? Some people carry such negative attitudes throughout their life that they literally create their own problems out of nothing essentially, and then get upset when they realize that things aren’t going their way. Another version of this could be seen if you have ever known someone who has said something without thinking that is not very kind, for example insulting someone close to them, then getting upset when their relationship with that person is not the same? A lot of us know this kind of situation.

Sometimes people offend you or try to offend you, and are generally only seeking their own well-being, giving little regard for the feelings they hurt along the way. This is something that I’ve been thinking about recently. How some people laugh in front your face and stab you in the back, even though they are in church praising God with you. I find it very interesting how people can do wrong to others, not realize that they are burning their own bridges, and then decide that it’s not fair and that they don’t deserve what has come to them. It would be so important for us all to take a step back to remember that burning bridges is not beneficial at all. We need people in our court, and we need to nurture our friendships and relationships so that they can only continue to grow. Even if you want to end your friendship or relationship with someone, it is always better to let them down easy. Otherwise, you risk burning that bridge entirely. Sometimes, yes, this is necessary if you truly never want to see the person again. Some things friendships and relationships cannot be salvaged.

With regard to creating your own raincloud above your head then becoming upset when you are not drawing in positivity into your life, I do have some tips.

  1. For one, you need to take ownership of your own decisions.
  2. You cannot control what others do and say, but you can certainly control what YOU do and say.

If you are putting out negative vibes into the universe, what do you think you are going to attract? You cannot control what others say and do, or what happens to them, but you can totally control what happens to you (within reason), and you can control how you react and what kind of energy you’re putting out to the world.

I’ve had my fair share of fake friends in the past and some are still showing up, and I find that it’s best to cut out those sort of people.  If they insult you, put you down, or do not serve any positive purpose in your life, seriously just cut them loose. You can do better than that. If you are one of these people who made a mistake and doesn’t want to be cut loose, then own up to your flaws and apologize to those you have wronged. Pride is a strange thing, and people can end up making silly decisions that end up with permanent and unintended results. While it is never too late to say you are sorry, sometimes it is too late for the damage to be undone. Learning to identify your own missteps and mistakes, and doing so in a timely and efficient manner, is definitely something that will only help you in the future.

Also, on another note, we all know those people who choose to be sad forever, dwell on the negative things and events in their lives, and tend to make bad decisions on repeat. This kind of people often does not realize that by holding onto this kind of burden in their hearts, they are ultimately ensuring that there is a permanent raincloud hanging over their heads. Sounds pretty bad, right? Who wants that?Unfortunately, these people unknowingly attract negativity and end up creating their own storms. Then, when things start to go even more downhill, they fail to see how their thinking and attitude actually played a role in the outcome. It is super important to acknowledge and understand how your thinking, attitude, and outlook can ultimately shape you into being a bigger and better person in virtually every single way.

I cannot stress this enough. By realizing that your attitudes and thinking are the most important things for finding inner peace and happiness, you will ultimately be able to live your life in a more enlightened manner. Understanding the importance of a good attitude and mindset will end up helping you to make good choices and help make important decisions much more easily. If you feel lost, a positive outlook and a happy heart will help you find yourself.

Own up to your mistakes. Acknowledge your flaws. Work on them. Embrace them! You are your own best friend. Don’t let anybody get you down. And don’t let yourself feel down for too long. You hold the key to your own success and happiness!
